Julian Airey

Julian joined Inder Lynch in January 2004 after nine years in private practice in Christchurch and two and a half years working in London for a retail bank and travelling throughout Europe, the Middle East and the United States. Julian joined the partnership of Inder Lynch in March 2007 and is based in our Pukekohe office.

For many years, Julian's practice was focused on the areas of civil litigation, including property disputes, estate litigation and employment law, appearing as sole and leading counsel in the High Court as well as in the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. More recently, Julian's practice has shifted towards general legal practice including assisting clients with estate planning and administration, trust formation and administration, sale and purchase of residential property and businesses, and all other areas of property law. Julian also continues to practice employment law.  Julian is also a Notary Public, having been appointed in 2019.

In his spare time, Julian enjoys cooking, gardening and watching his children’s various sporting activities. He also enjoys spending time boating and fishing on the Hauraki Gulf whenever time permits.

Julian was a member of the ADLSi Civil Litigation Committee for several years. He also regularly volunteers at the Remuera Citizens Advice Bureau and has done so for a number of years.
