Julian joined Inder Lynch in January 2004 after nine years in private practice in Christchurch and two and a half years working in London for a retail bank and travelling throughout Europe, the Middle East and the United States. Julian joined the partnership of Inder Lynch in March 2007 and is based in our Pukekohe office.
Julian practises primarily in the areas of Civil Litigation, including Property Disputes, Estate Litigation and Employment Law. He also has considerable experience in debt collection and insolvency matters. Julian has appeared as sole or leading counsel in civil proceedings in the High Court of up to seven days’ duration, as well as in appeals to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. He has also acted in proceedings before the District Court, Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court. Julian believes that providing clients with pragmatic and cost-effective advice is critical to achieving the best possible outcome for clients. With that in mind, he regularly participates in mediations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
In his spare time, Julian enjoys cooking, gardening and watching his children’s various sporting activities. He also enjoys spending time boating and fishing on the Hauraki Gulf whenever time permits.
Julian has been a member of the ADLSi Civil Litigation Committee for several years. He also regularly volunteers at the Remuera Citizens Advice Bureau and has done so for a number of years.
