Paul Maskell

Paul attended at the University of Auckland and was admitted to the bar in 1979. Soon after being admitted, Paul joined Inder Lynch at our Papakura office. He moved to our Manurewa office in 1981, where he continued to practice. Paul became a Partner in 1983. In 2004 we relocated our Manurewa office to Manukau City where Paul now practices.

Paul is the Managing Partner of our firm. He specialises in Family Law, Relationship Property, Trust Law, Estate Administration and Estate Litigation. He is also a Senior Lawyer for Children, a trained mediator, negotiator and a Notary Public.

Paul has been actively involved with the Family Law Section of the New Zealand Law Society, having been on the Section Executive from 2005 to 2012 and was the Chairperson of the Section from 2007 until 2010. During his time as Chairperson Paul was also a member of the Council of the New Zealand Law Society

In 2011 Paul was appointed by the Governor General, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, as a member of the Legal Aid Tribunal created under the Legal Aid Act 2011. This part time judicial position is for a term of three years.

Paul lives in Mission Bay with his wife and three children. He has a long-standing association with the Wattle Downs community and is Honorary Solicitor to the Manurewa RSA.

In August 2004 Paul was appointed a life member of the Manurewa Citizen's Advice Bureau having participated since 1980. He has regularly conducted Saturday morning clinics throughout the intervening 30 plus years.
